Baby Hoffman's is a?................

The day has finally come!!! We had family come to celebrate what baby Hoffman is.  I will have to admit waiting was hard, last night I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve, oh the anticipation. I was even way to excited to sleep. At 9:00 the cake was delivered, Sue did a great job what a beautiful cake, and it tasted even better. :)  I almost felt bad cutting into it.....Almost

Our Baby Cake!!!!

Finally when everyone got to Casa de Hoffman, and thank you all for getting there on time too! Right away I wanted to slice open the cake.  So just like I said the first thing we did was slice open the cake
It's PINK

Much to our surprise, Baby Hoffman is a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes Matt and Gavin were right the whole time, I on the other hand was thinking boy.  Shopping here we come!
Today was a great day, and we are so thankful for both of our families were able to be here to share this exciting moment with us.  We feel very blessed and loved.  We already know that Baby Girl will be loved so much.

This is the picture that was in the envelope, good thing it says girl on it!

20/40= Half Way There!!!!!

We are officially half way through my pregnancy!!!!! Only 20 weeks until we get to meet Baby Hoffman!  Week 20 has been another busy week, I officially said good bye to the 5th grade class of 2011, (some I will miss more than others).  We had our 20 week ultrasound, and the doctor, & Matt's coworkers all know what baby Hoffman is, the rest of us have to wait until next Sunday, for the baby reveal.  So stay tuned to find out what baby is.  I certainly can't wait to find out.
Baby Hoffman at 20 Weeks look at those muscles, or is s/he fist pumping?

Matt's first Father's Day, check out the shirt his dad gave him!

Matt's 31st Birthday!!!

Friday was the last time Matt will celebrate  his birthday without baby Hoffman.  I surprised Matt by taking him to 10 Arts.  The dinner was great, if you ever get a chance I highly suggest you go down and dine there, beautiful place, great service and the food was impressive.  Most of all the executive chef is Jennifer Carrol from Top Chef! (Matt has a little crush on her)  Unfortunately the kitchen was busy and Matt was unable to meet her, but he did get a menu with Jen's autograph on it.  Best of all we got 2 desserts!!!!

On Saturday, my dad came to the rescue once again to get started on the nursery.  Living in a 110 year old house means Casa de Hoffman is lacking in closet space.  So Matt and dad spent Saturday and Sunday building closets in the room that once was going to be turned into a bathroom, but now will be the nursery.  Framing and electricity is done, all that needs to be done now is the dry wall and closet organizers!  Photo's to come when the room is finished.

We ended the weekend by meeting Mama and Papa Hoffman for dinner, another great yet exhausting weekend!!! Week 20 here we come :)

We Have a Kicker!!!

On the Saturday morning of Week 17 I felt Baby Hoffman's first kick!!!! They started out as little flutters now as a week and a half has gone by the kicks have gotten more frequent and harder.  Matt hasn't felt them yet, but I am sure soon he will.  Baby Hoffman always kicks when Elmo is laying on my stomach, maybe I have a jealous one on my hands already.
As we start of week 19 we are anxiously awaiting finding out the sex of the baby.  We have the ultrasound next Thursday June 16th.  Then we have the long wait until June 26th for our baby revealing party. It will be a long 10 days to wait but it will be worth it to find out if Baby Hoffman is a girl or boy with the whole family.  (Gavin our 2 year old nephew is positive it's a girl along with many others)  I honestly do not have a feeling either way, maybe I am leaning more toward girl because everyone is saying baby is, but then again I sometimes refer to baby as a he.  I guess only time will tell!
